About

I am a licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience providing individual and couples therapy.  Before starting my private practice in 2001, I worked with individuals, couples, and families at a mental health clinic and did pro bono work at a family and youth services bureau.  I now work exclusively with adults.

To help meet the individual needs of clients, I integrate different techniques into my work--drawing primarily from cognitive behavioral therapy as well as solution focused and strength-based approaches.

At the heart of therapy is the client-therapist relationship.  I view therapy as a partnership between the therapist and client, and am highly engaged and collaborative in my work.   I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental, and safe space for clients.  Within a relationship of acceptance and respect, I help clients modify the way they think, feel, and act.  I am committed to helping clients make the changes necessary to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
